First is the voltage parameter. Common specifications for electric tricycle batteries include 48V, 60V, and 72V; some heavy-duty or specialized models may even utilize higher-voltage systems. Generally, the higher the voltage, the greater the vehicle's power output capability, making it better suited for demanding operating conditions such as carrying heavy loads or climbing steep inclines.

 

Next is the capacity parameter, typically expressed in Ah (amp-hours). Common ranges span from 20Ah, 32Ah, and 50Ah, to even higher values. A larger capacity indicates greater energy storage capability, resulting in a longer driving range on a single charge. For instance, commercial tricycles often employ high-capacity batteries to meet the demands of prolonged transportation tasks.

 

Regarding the energy parameter, it is generally calculated in Wh (watt-hours)-derived by multiplying voltage by capacity-and serves to provide a more intuitive representation of the battery's total stored energy. Additionally, the discharge rate (C-value) is a critical metric that determines the battery's power output capability under high-load conditions; a higher value indicates superior instantaneous power performance.

 

Finally, there are cycle life and operating temperature range. Lead-acid batteries typically have a cycle life of around 300 to 500 cycles, whereas lithium-ion batteries can achieve 800 to 1,500 cycles or even more. Furthermore, the general operating temperature range for these batteries falls between -10°C and 45°C; batteries constructed from different materials may exhibit varying performance characteristics in low-temperature and high-temperature environments. Collectively, these technical parameters determine the actual operational performance and reliability of electric tricycle batteries.
