Generally, a higher voltage implies greater driving power, making it better suited for applications involving heavier loads.

 

Capacity Specifications: Capacity is typically expressed in Amp-hours (Ah) or Watt-hours (Wh). This parameter directly determines a robot's operating duration. For instance, service robots might utilize compact batteries with capacities ranging from 10 Ah to 30 Ah, whereas industrial AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) or inspection robots may be equipped with batteries of 50 Ah or higher to support prolonged, continuous operation.

 

Discharge Performance: Batteries typically feature specifications for maximum continuous discharge current or a "C-rate," which serves as a metric for the battery's power output capability under high-load conditions. For robots that require frequent starts or must navigate inclines, a high discharge rate capability is particularly critical; without it, the system may suffer from voltage drops or insufficient power.

 

Physical Dimensions and Weight: The physical size and weight of a battery are also critical specifications. Given the limited internal space within robot structures, batteries are often designed using customized or modular approaches to ensure compatibility with various robot models. Furthermore, a lighter battery weight contributes to lower energy consumption for mobile robots, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency.
